At LocalNodeLab.com, we believe privacy is an architectural imperative, not a secondary feature. We advocate for local, subscription-free computing, and we design our website to minimize data collection.
This Privacy Policy outlines the limited data we collect when you visit LocalNodeLab, how third-party analytics and affiliate networks interact with your session, and how your privacy rights are protected under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), EU GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
1. Information We Do Not Collect
LocalNodeLab does not require user registration or account creation. We do not operate comment forms, store credit card details, collect phone numbers, or harvest personal identity information.
Our interactive tools (including the LLM Unified Memory Calculator) execute entirely client-side inside your browser via local JavaScript. Your model sizes, parameter inputs, and context configurations are never uploaded to any remote server.
2. Analytics & Performance Telemetry
To understand which hardware benchmarks and guides provide the greatest utility, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) deployed via Google Tag Manager (GTM). GA4 collects aggregated, non-personally identifiable technical telemetry:
- Browser type, operating system family, and display resolution
- Pages visited, scroll depth, and interaction timestamps
- Referral sources (e.g. search engines, direct links, social aggregators)
- Anonymized geographic origin at country and city levels (IP anonymization active)
3. Cookies & Affiliate Network Tracking
When you click outbound product recommendation links routing through /go/[slug], your browser is redirected to verified merchant partners, including Amazon Associates (tag: localnodelab-21), Awin, ShareASale, or direct manufacturer portals.
These merchant platforms may place a tracking cookie on your device to credit LocalNodeLab with a referral commission if a purchase is completed. These cookies are subject to the privacy policies of the respective merchants. LocalNodeLab never receives your personal identity, payment credentials, or billing address from affiliate partners.
4. Your Statutory Data Protection Rights
Under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and CCPA, you retain the right to request confirmation of any data processed, request deletion, or restrict processing. Because we do not store personal identifying records or maintain user databases, we hold no personally identifiable dossiers to inspect or delete.
You can configure your browser to block cookies or use privacy-focused extensions (such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger) without losing access to any benchmark reports or calculators on LocalNodeLab.
